Random Challenge Weekend! (21st and 22nd)
Weekend challenge time!!! This weekend's challenge makes use of the Random.org random number generator or any other random number generator of your choice.
The Rules
Step 1: Go to the Random.org random number generator. Input 1 as the 'min' and 15 as the 'max'. Generate 2 unique numbers.
Step 2: The numbers correspond to the challenges listed below. Your first number is Saturday's challenge and the second is Sunday's.
Step 3: Sign up in the next post, listing the numbers of your selected challenges.
Step 4: Attempt the challenges
Step 5: For each challenge you complete, add WIN to your list. Colours and/or smiley faces are optional.
BONUS STEP: Because this is the second time we've run this challenge, you can keep generating new random numbers until you get different challenges to last time.
BONUS STEP: If you're having a rough weekend or just not feeling brave, I'll let you choose your own two challenges. Sign up and report back the same way as the people doing random challenges.
The Challenges
1. Written? Kitten/Puppy/Whatever! day - do all your writing in Written? Kitten! using whatever 'easter egg' you like. (Easter egg: add "/?search=whatever" to the end of the address to search for a different keyword).
2. Vanilla day - write your daily wordcount goal... exactly.
3. Butt In Chair day: Sit. Start writing. You cannot leave your chair for any reason whatsoever until you've hit your word goal for the day. (Beware the midnight line...just sayin'.)
4. Procrastination Day - Put off writing for as long as you can. See how close you can cut it to the deadline, and still finish.
5. Lightning Sprint Day: Reach your daily goal in a series of 5 minute sprints! According to the NaNo forum, the record for a 5-minute sprint is ovr 500 words. Can you beat it?
6. Round Number Day: End the day with your total wordcount on a multiple of 1000.
7. Write or Die day: write everything in Write or Die!
8. Classic day - write at least 1,667 words
9. The Hour day: you have one hour to write today's entire wordcount goal!
10. Random wordcount day: use a random number generator to find today's wordcount goal
11. 1.5x wordcount day: 1.5x yesterday's total
12. Do-over day: try to beat the total on your worst day
13. Day 1 redux: try to write as many words as you wrote on day 1
14. Beat that! Wriday: try and beat your wordcount from your best day.
15. "I won't --- until I write --- words" day: Pick a thing you really want to do today. Then pick the number of words you need. You can't do the thing until you've written all the words.
