Q: I didn't receive my activation email. A: It's possible that the activation email went into your spam or junk folder, so first of all check there. If that doesn't work, you might have to add noreply@proboards.com to your contacts list. Once you've done this, click the 'activate account' link in your profile and everything should go smoothly from there.
*** Have a question? Post it here and I (or some well-meaning and clued up passer-by) will give you a quick and accurate answer!

The problem is that when you are send one, you can't normally access this board anymore. You get stuck at the "insert key" page.

Hmm... congratulations on finding a question I can't answer. The best I can suggest is that for everyone who wants to sign up and hasn't been on a Proboards forum before, add the email address to your contacts list before signing up. As far as I can figure out from the Proboards help, this is mainly going to affect Gmail, Hotmail and AOL.
(and I hope this doesn't become a frequent question...)

I searched the name of the provider (proboards) in my emailbox and fond an old mail of me signing up for another board. I added the e-mailaddress that send me that mail to my contacts and then I pressed the 'send activation key' on the board and got the email almost immediately.
For those not familiar with the provider, add this address to the contact-list of your emailbox: noreply@proboards.com

The goal progress thread is just for updating your current word count or hours/scenes/pages of editing. Other than that, everyone has PPTs. I guess if you'd like a random chatter thread, 'Off Topic' in the Procrastination Hub is probably the place for it.

Are there going to be any moderator slots now or later that will need to be filled?

Yeah, some mods would be a great help. In fact, I'm about to go and post a thread inviting volunteers.

How do I delete the quote tags when I quote a post? I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it's not working for me.

I know! I know! At the bottom of the edit screen, on the left, are the choices "bbcode" and I think "preview." Choose BBcode. Kill all the lines that start ]quote[ and do not forget the ones at the very bottom. The brackets will be turned the other way in the code, though. I feel helpful. *bounces off, giggling madly to herself*
